2008 Jr. Hay Judging Competition

The date for this year's Cherokee County Hay Show has been set, the Jr. Hay Judging will be held on October 20, 2008. Not only is this an excellent learning experience for all 4-H and FFA members, it is a wonderful scholarship opportunity for those of you with your eyes on a college education. The sale will be held on the evening of October 23, 2008. All events will be held at the Cherokee County Exposition Center on loop in Jacksonville. Hay Judging Contest Guidelines are available in the County Extension Office and online at the following location:

PALS Meeting.

The Cherokee County 4-H Parent and Adult Leaders Association will be meeting on Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Cherokee County Extension Office Conference Room @ 7:00 PM. This meeting is open to all parents and/or volunteer leaders. All parents are encouraged to attend as new officers will be elected. This group of dedicated parents are the backbone of the county program and without them the entire program would falter. Please come be a part of the few who do so much for so many.

If you have not come by the office and picked up the 2008-2009 member and leader enrollment forms please contact me so that arrangements can be made to get them to you. This blog has been set up for you and your club members to use. I will try to monitor this blog at least once a day, so please let your families know this is available. This is a trial run; however, if successful this type of communication will likely replace the office newsletter.
