PLEASE READ THE CALENDAR

There have been a few phone calls asking permission to enter various competitions after the entry deadlines have passed. Please note that all entry deadlines were published in the 4-H Calendar. Late entries cause complications and confusion not to mention if allowed they undermine the very purpose of the deadline itself.

Therefore the deadlines have to stand firm. In the past late entries have been permitted....However, from this point forward there will be no late entries of any kind for 4-H county events.

In circumstances that affect the entire county( ice storm, tornado, etc...) the deadlines may be postponed by the project leader, committee, or county agent overseeing the event.

The real value of 4-H....

may not be realized until later in life. But when given the opportunity to think about it, the successes of some can be traced back directly to their roots in 4-H. Follow the attached link to view a wonderful testimonial about the value of the 4-H Program from Bob Tallman, a very well known rodeo announcer and successful rough stock contractor.

4-H Office Gears Up for New Year...

Club Managers,

If you have not come by the office and picked up the 2008-2009 member and leader enrollment forms please contact me so that arrangements can be made to get them to you. This blog has been set up for you and your club members to use. I will try to monitor this blog at least once a day, so please let your families know this is available. This is a trial run; however, if successful this type of communication will likely replace the office newsletter. If you have any suggestions or comments, please post them or email them to me (wrarnwine@ag.tamu.edu). At the present time, this blog is unrestricted and can be posted to by anyone who views it. If there are any problems or improper use, I will restrict the posting permissions to only those who have submitted their email address on their member or leader enrollment forms. Please feel free to post to this blog any ideas or events that you or your club would like to share, discuss or advertise.
